KOLKATA METROPOLITAN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITYKOLKATA
KMDA, is the statutory planning and development authority for the Kolkata Metropolitan Area (KMA) under provision of the West Bengal Town and Country (Planning & Development) Act, 1979. Initially formed under a Presidential Ordinance in 1970, it is today the agency for planning, promoting and developing the KMA.

- Assistant Engineer : 47 posts [Civil-39, Electrical-05, Mechanical-03], Qualification : Bachelor's Degree in Civil / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering with 60% marks. , Pay Scale : Rs.8000-13500/-
- Assistant Planner - 09 posts, Qualification : A Post Graduate Degree/ Diploma in Town / Regional / Transportation Planning with a Degree in Architecture / Civil Engineering with 60% marks , Pay Scale : Rs.8000-13500/-
- Technical Assistant : 147 posts [Civil-127, Electrical-12, Mechanical-08], Qualification : Diploma in Civil / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering with 60% marks. , Pay Scale : Rs.4500-9700/-
For KMW&SA
- Assistant Engineer : 06 posts [Civil-04, Electrical & Mechanical-02] , Qualification : Bachelor's Degree in Civil / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering with 60% marks. , Pay Scale : Rs.8000-13500/-
- Sub Assistant Engineer : 06 posts [Civil-04, Electrical & Mechanical-02], Qualification : Diploma in Civil / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering with 60% marks. , Pay Scale : Rs.4500-9700/-
Age : Not more than 37 years as on 01/05/2007. Age relaxation as per Govt. orders.
Fee : Rs. 300/- for Assistant Engineer and Assistant Planner and Rs. 200/- for Technical Assistant and sub Assistant Engineer (No fee for SC/ST candidates) in the form of Bank DD / Pay Order in favour of "Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority" payable at Kolkata.
How to Apply : Apply in the prescribed form alongwith attested copies of mark sheets and other relevant documents up to 31/05/2007 to "The Secretary, Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority, Proshasan Bhavan, Plot No. DD-1, Sector-1, Vidhannagar, Kolkata - 700064" by Speed Post/ Registered post with A/D only. Also attach a self addressed envelope with Rs.25/- stamp on it. The envelop haviong application form should be superscribed with the name of the post on it.
