SMVDU, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, established as a technical and fully residential University through an act of J&K Legislature, has adopted IIT pattern of Academics & pay scales. Four Colleges representing faculties have been established in the University. These are College of Management, College of Engineering, College of Sciences, College of Philosophy, Culture & Languages. Each College has several Schools analogous to Departments in a University:
- College of Management: It has two Schools, namely (1) School of Business (2) School of Economics
- College of Sciences: It has two Schools, namely (1) School of Applied Physics & Mathematics (2)School of Biosciences (Chemistry)
- College of Engineering: It has five Schools, namely (1) School of Computer Science & Engineering (2) School of Electronics & Communication Engineering (3) School of Architecture & Landscape Design (4) School of Mechanical Engineering (5) School of Infrastructure Technology & Resource Management
Applications from Highly Qualified and experiences candidates are invited for the following positions:-
- Dean of the College and Directors of the Schools
In the pay scale of Rs. 18400-500-22400. Candidates should be Ph. D with first class Degree in the concerned subject with a minimum of 10 years of experience of Research & Teaching (or Corporate) with proven record as evident from publications. Retired people below the age of 62 can also apply. Additional emoluments are also possible for highly experienced applicants. The selected candidates will automatically be Professors in their respective Schools. Residential stay is essential
