Department of Atomic Energy invites Engineering Graduates and Science Post Graduates to apply to its training programmes

OCES-2007 and DGFS-2007

On successful completetion of the training, they will join as Scientific Officers in the one of the DAE units with the attractive career progresion opportunities up to the highest echelons.

Eligibility : BE/B.Tech. in Mechanical, Chemical, Metallurgical, Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Instrumentation Engineering, Physics and Food Technology.

    • M.Sc. in Physics, Electronics, Chemistry and Biosciences.

Valid GATE-2006 or GATE-2007 score is mandatory for applicants in Engineering. Applicants in Science disciplines may also apply on the basis of

  • Applicants are advised not to be guided by previous year's GATE score cut-off.
  • Final selection is solely on the basis of performance of interview.

OCES-2007 : One year Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates and Science Post Graduates starting in September 2007 at

  • BARC Training School, Mumbai and its affiliate
  • IGCAR Training School, Kalpakkam
  • RRCAT Training School, Indore
  • NFC-HWB Training School, Hyderabad
  • NPCIL Training Centres, Kaiga, Kalpakkam, Kudankulam, Rawatbhata and Tarapur

Successful completion of OCES-207 course work, and subsequent project work, will entitle trainees to the award of M.Tech. degree of Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI), a Deemed University.

DGFS-2007 : Two-year DAE Graduate Fellowship Sheme for Engineering Graduates and and Post-Graduates in Physics for joining MTech in specific specialisation starting July 2007 at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) - Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur, Kharagpur,Madras and Roorkee. DGFS Fellow will have an opportunity to persue PhD through HBNI
