Regional Level Guide Training Programme
(For Northern, Southern, Eastern, Western and North Eastern Regions)

Indian Institute of Tourism & Travel Management (IITTM) is a centre of excellence for education, training & research in travel, tourism and allied sectors.

Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India has authorized the Institute to conduct the Regional Level Guide Training Programmes. IITTM invites applications from unemployed candidates to work as Freelance Tourist Guides in the Northern, Southern, Eastern, Western and North Eastern Regions of the country. The requirements are as follows:-

1. Educational:
  • Minimum eligibility: Graduate of a recognized University in any subject or Diploma in Archaeology from the Institute of Archaeology under the Archaeological Survey of India, New Delhi or from any other recognized Institution/University.
  • In addition to the above, fluency in English language is essential.
  • The candidate should also have completed at least a six months regular course in the foreign language (s) such as Chinese, Russian, Korean, Thai, Arabic, Hungarian, Polish, Hebrew etc. from a recognized Institute/Embassy or Consulate concerned or their cultural centres. Preference would be given to the candidates having good working knowledge in a foreign language.
2. Age Limit : The applicants shall be between the age of 20-65 years

Persons holding regular or part-time employment will not be eligible. Application forms can be obtained from IITTM, Govindpuri, Gwalior-474011 or downloaded from IITTM website http://www.iittm.org/ . Application complete in all respects should reach to the Director, IITTM, Govindpuri, Gwalior-474 011 alongwith a demand draft for Rs. 500/- payable to IITTM, Gwalior on or before 31st March, 2007 (now extended upto 30th April, 2007)
