Applications are invited on the prescribed “ON LINE” proforma, from eligible Indian Nationals for direct recruitment to the following positions of Assistant Engineer (Trainee) in Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd.
- Assistant Engineer (Trainee) Electrical : 80 posts
- Assistant Engineer (Trainee) Mechanical : 135 posts
- Assistant Engineer (Trainee) Electronics : 40 posts
- Assistant Engineer (Trainee) Computer : 15 posts
- Assistant Engineer (Trainee) Civil : 25 posts
Pay scale: Rs. 8550-275-13500 (starting pay Rs.9375/-).
Essential Qualification:
(1) Candidate should have thorough knowledge of Hindi.
(2) Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/ Mechanical/Electronics/Computer/Civil Engineering from an university OR from an institute established under the law of Uttar Pradesh OR from an institute recognised by State Government OR a degree or diploma which has been recognized by Uttar Pradesh State Government as an equivalent to these Engineering degrees OR should have passed section A and B as Associate Member of Institution of Engineer OR should be an Associate Member of the Institute of Electrical Engineers (London). Applications of General & OBC candidates having minimum 60% marks in aggregate and SC/ST candidates having minimum 50% marks in aggregate, will only be accepted.
Age: Minimum 21 years and maximum 32 years as on 01.01.2006.
Selection Process: Selection will be based on the basis of written exam to be held at Delhi, Lucknow, Varanasi and Mumbai as well as interview. In this process the written examination is likely to be held on 25/02/2007. Those who qualify in written test, will be called for interview, after the written test.
Application Fee:
(1) A crossed demand draft ( non refundable processing fee) of Rs.800/= only in case of General/OBC & SC/ST/OBC candidates from states other than Uttar Pradesh and Rs.500/= in case of SC/ST candidates who are original inhabitants of Uttar Pradesh.; drawn from State Bank of India OR Central Bank in favour of SECRETARY, ELECTRICITY SERVICE COMMISSION, LUCKNOW; payable at Lucknow should be enclosed with the Application form. Application form without demand draft shall be rejected.
(2) Candidates must write their name, advertisement no., father’s name, control number and the post applied for, behind the demand draft.
How to apply: Kindly note that only “ ON LINE” applications shall be acceptable, While applying, the demand draft details and valid ( for minimum next six months) email ID are mandatory fields without which the applications will not be registered ONLINE.

Paste a recent passport size photograph on the application form, attach the demand draft & self attested caste, domicile certificate (only for original inhabitant SC/ST & OBC candidates of Uttar Pradesh), date of birth, technical eligibility qualification certificate/final marks sheet , ex-servicemen certificate and certificate of dependent of freedom fighter (whichever is applicable) and send the same by ordinary post to the address given in succeeding paragraph. Please mention your name and control number on the reverse of the demand draft. The envelope should be superscribed with “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ASSISTANT ENGINEER (TRAINEE) ...........................” as applicable. Applications which do not meet all criterion given in this advertisement, will be rejected. All fee are non-refundable.
The original application form with required demand draft having name and control no. duly written on the back of demand draft and Caste certificate (for reserved category only) along with documents mentioned at step 6 above are to be sent, only by ORDINARY POST so as to reach latest by 11/12/2006 to Advertiser, Post Bag No.31, Kalkaji Post Office, New Delhi-110019.
