Engagement of Consultants

The Department of Agriculture & Cooperation (DAC) proposes to engage Four Consultants and Eight Technical Assistants under the recently launched NFSM for providing technical inputs. The Consultants will be engaged in the following specified areas:

1. Consultant- Agronomy
2. Consultant-Seed Technology / Plant Breeding/Crop Improvement
3. Consultant-Soil/Feasibility Management
4. Consultant-Agriculture

The DAC also proposes to engage Eight Technical Assistants under NSFM to assist the
Consultant and the Technical Officers in the Department.

Qualification :

• Consultant : Doctorate degree in Agronomy/ Agriculture Extension/Soil Science/ plant
  Breeding/ Crop improvement, with at least 15 years of field experience in crop
  production/ crop improvement. (ii) Ability to analyse data and prepare projects, writing reports/seminar notes/ articles. Publication of papers in national and international journals, if any. (iii) The person should have the proven ability to motivate and lead the team to achieve the objectives of the mission. (iv) • Good knowledge of computer working like ms-word, excel, power point, internet etc.
• Technical Assistants : Masters degree in agronomy/ soil science/ agriculture Extension/plant breeding with specialization in management of field crops. (ii) Knowledge of computer MS- package essential. (iii) Persons with experience of research and extension will be given preference.

Payment : The Consultants and the Technical Assistants will be engaged on full time basis for a period of six months with a consolidated fee of Rs.35,000 per month and Rs.15,000 per month respectively ( with no DP/ DA/ CCA/ HRA etc.).
