THE INDIAN NAVY
Applications are invited from unmarried Male Candidates for Enrolment as Sailors - Sports Quota Entry (SSR/MR) - 1/2008 Batch. Course Commencing SSR-1/208 - 04 February 2008 / MR-1/208 - 07 April 07.
Eligibility Conditions:
Age : Candidates to be born between 01 Feb 1987 to 31 Jan 1991; both dates inclusive, Matric Recruitment : 01 Apr 1987 to 30 Mar 1991; both dates inclusive
Educational Qualifications : Senior Secondary Recruitment (SSR) : 10+2 (equivalent qualified with compulsory subjects Maths, and Physics, optional subjects Chemistry/ Biology/ Computers, Matric Recruits (MR) : 10th or equivalent qualified.
Pay : During the initial training period they will be paid Rs.4500/-PM, on completion of initial training they will be posted in the regular pay scale., Matric Recruits (MR) : During the initial training period they will be paid Rs.2750/-PM.
Selection Criteria : Deserving candidates would be called to appear for trials at designated Naval Centres.
Sports Discipline : Outstanding sportsman who have participated at International/ National / State level in the disciplines mentioned below may apply for Recruitment :
- Athletics / Aquatics / Basket Ball / Boxing / Best Physique / Canoeing / Cricket / Kayaking / Football / Gymnastic / Hand Ball / Hockey / Kabaddi / Shooting / Volley Ball / Weight Lifting / Wrestling / Squash / Rowing / Tennis
How to Apply: Application Forms, in accordance with the prescribed format, and complete in all respects should be sent through Ordinary Post only with the type of entry, sports discipline with achievements is to be clearly on top of the envelope containing the application. Envelope should be Brown colour with attested documents, two self-addressed envelopes of size 22x10 cms with Rs.10/- stamp affixed on one envelope should be sent to:
