UP Public Service Commission shall hold two separate preliminary examination for General Rectt. and special Rectt. to admit the Candidates for main examination for the posts of this advertisement. The preliminary Examination shall be held at Agra, Allahabad, Bareilly, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Lucknow, Meerut and Varanasi. The main examination shall be held at Allahabad and Lucknow only. INDIAN FOREST SERVICE EXAMINATION (IFS) , 2007

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold the Indian Forest Service Examination 2007 for recruitment to the 30 Indian Forest Service Officers commencing from 7th July 2007..

Eligibility:

  • Age : Not less than 21 years and not more than 30 years as on 1st July, 2007. The upper age is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the Notice.
  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree of any recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Botonoy, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in notice.
  • Number of attempts: The maximum number of attempts persmissible to different categories of aspirants, who are otherwise eligible, will be as (i) General Category - 4 attempts, (ii) OBC - 7 attempts (iii) SC/ST - No limit
