Applications are invited for the recruitment of 1300 posts of Constable (General) and Constable (Driver) in various Districts / RAC Battalions on or before 12/11/2007 5.00 PM.


30% seats are reseved for Females and 12.5% for Ex-Serviceman candidates. 2% seats for Sportsmen.


Qualifications :

1. Police (Constable (General)/ Constable (Driver)) : Secondary or Matric from a recognised University/Board or equivalent qualification.
2. RAC (Constable (General) / Constable (Driver)) : 8th Standard pass from a recognised school.

Physical Measurments :

• Height : Male - Min. 168 cm. Female - 152 cms.
• Chest : Male - 81 cms and 86 cms on expansion

Pay : Rs.3000/- for the training period and there after if found suitable, candidates will be posted in the pay scale of Rs.3050-4590/-
Selection Procedure : Written test will conducted on districts/unit level. The exam will be of 50 marks and of objective type. Physical Efficiency Test of 20 marks will be conducted for succesfull candidates of the written test. After this there will be a Knowledge test of 15 marks followed by interview of 10 marks.
Application Form : Application form complete in all reptect alongwith a DD/Postal Order of Rs.125/- (Rs.100/- for SC/ST) in favour of desired Superintendent/Commandant of District/Battalion of Police should be sent before 12/11/2007.
