Applications are invited upto 5.45 p.m on 24/12/2008 for recruitment to the following post in Tamil Nadu Medical Service :-

• Assistant Surgeon (General) : 756 posts, Pay Scale : Rs.8000-13500/-, Qualification : MBBS of any University or Institution recognised bythe UGC for the purpose of its grant or the DM & S of the Government of Tamil Nadu.
  AND (ii) Must be a Registered Medical Practitioner, Age : 35 years, Age relxation for reserved category as per rules.
• Assistant Surgeon (Speciality) : 333 posts, Pay Scale : Rs.8000-13500/-, Qualification : MBBS of any University or Institution recognised bythe UGC and
  Assistant Surgeon(Speciality) Post Graduate Degree /Post Graduate Diploma in the concerned Specialities, AND (ii) Must be a Registered Medical Practitioner, Age : 35 years, Age relxation for reserved category as per rules.

OMR Application : OMR application form along with an Information Brochure containing General Instructions for filling up the application form, Commission’s ‘Instructions, etc. to candidates’ and an envelope for sending application can be obtained from any one of the HEAD POST OFFICES or selected Sub-Post Offices (236 Nos.) in Tamil Nadu / Puducherry on payment of Rs.30/-.

Filled in applications must be sent to the Controller of Examinations, Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, Omanthoorar Government Estate, Anna Salai, Chennai – 600002 by Registered Post / Speed Post well in advance so as to reach the Commission’s Office before 5.45 p.m. on 24/12/2008.
