Paloma on Maxim Special Edition - Is this the Sept-Oct Issue?

I was malling the other day in Megamall when I passed by this magazine store. A quick glance and I happen to see this Maxim Edition. At first, I thought it was just some old edition of Maxim Philippines, knowing that it is on the verge of death [Maxim Philippines - Dead?]. But it doesn't look like an old issue. I moved a little closer and confirmed that it wasn't an old one. Is that Paloma? Looks like she really is the one.

So Maxim Philippines has come up with a Maxim Special Collection Edition - with 45 of the Hottest Women from the first 2 years in never before seen photos. Uhmmmm. I wonder it implies? Are they going to stop the print edition? Or they're simply having a revamp with the editorial and stuff. If anyone from Maxim or ABS-CBN is seeing this, your comments are very much welcome.

Maxim Philippines - Dead?

Is Maxim Philippines dead? This has been our question when Maxim Philippines failed to release their September 2009 issue early this month. Are they going to shut the print edition like what UK did? ( Maxim UK goes online, print edition axed). We hope not. As you see, competition is good for us consumers. But if maxim will be out, FHM will surely dominate the mens mag (like they don't).

We always checked the websites of Maxim Philippines but were always disappointed to see the previous issue (see screenshots below)

Princess Ryan Maxim August 2009 Cover Girl

Princess Ryan is the cover girl of Maxim August 2009 Philippines Edition. Seems like Maxim was a lil' late in releasing their issue this month.

As with Princess Ryan, she already appeared in Maxim last March 2008 with the CoolChx on the cover. Regarding the rumors that Maxim will only be until September only, I don't think so. With all the effort coming from their editor in chief Eric Ramos backed up by the Kapamilya network, Maxim will continue until they reach the #1.

But if they truly close Maxim, nothing we can do. Let's just hope that FHM and Playb0y can fill in the gap.

The luscious--not to mention red-hot--Daiana Menezes is celebrating her birthday and Maxim Philippines is throwing her a party. It's out now. Maxim Philippines February 2009 featuring Nina Jose on the cover is now up for grabs. So what can we say about this cover photo of Maxim February 2009? Uhmm, for one, the posing looks odd to me. Is it a strategic pose not to emphasize her figure? Coz she looks a little plump compared to her FHM March 2008 photos.

Another thing we noticed is that her sides don't look too natural at all. I mean, the cropping is very obvious. It's like a forced curves on the side. Also, the make up artist seemed to forgot to hide those eye bags. But nevertheless, Nina Jose still looks charming as ever.

Maxim 2009 Calendar Party - Philippines Highlights

Last Tuesday, December 9 we had an early Christmas treat as we were invited to the first Maxim Philippines 2009 Calendar Party at Warehouse 135 in Makati City. And boy, it was a blast as it was hot hot hot.

The event was hosted by equally beautiful and sexy Malaya Lewandowski and Phoem Barranda. I personally liked the way Malaya handled the event. She was full of energy and naughty-ness if I must add.



The Maxim Police girls, Matador girls, Frenzy girls and Citizen's watch girls were all jolly and accommodating. The number of Mocha Girls was fantastic and kinky especially the game were the contestants had to finish their matador drinks by sucking through a baby's bottle.

The Pinoy Fear Factor girls was more than a surprise. Janna Dominguez was really fun and cheery as well as the other girls. But when Cristine Reyes walked into the stage, the crowd was awed. Her dimples were outstanding as well as her body. She even signed our Maxim Philippines December issue.

The appearance of the RAN Online Calendar Girls signaled the last part of the event. But hey, we even spotted Gretchen Fullido who is very generous posing for our photos.
