JCO (Catering) entry in Army April09

Become a Junior Commission Officer (JCO) (Catering) in the Army

Applications are invited from male candidates only for recruitment as Junior Commissioned Officer (Catering) in the Indian Army who fulfill the following eligibility criteria :

  • Vacancies : 04 posts
  • Qualification : 10+2 or equivalent from any Educational board recognised by Council of Board of School Education in India. (ii) Diploma / Certificate course of a duration of one year or more in Cookery/ Hotel Management and Catering Technology from a recognised Food Craft Institute / University. Candidates should have working knowledge of either English or Hindi or both.
  • Age : 21-27 years.
  • Physical Standard: As applicable to the regular army
  • Pay Scale : PB-2 Rs.9300-34800 plus Grade Pay Rs.4200 plus Military Service Pay Rs.2000 and allowances as per Central Government.

Method of Selection:

  • Physical Fitness Test : After screening Physical Fitness test will be applicable as (i) 1 mile run in maximum 6.20 minutes and (ii) Pul up minimum of 6 (iii) Balance - Qualify (iv) 9 fit ditch - qualify
  • Written Examination : Only those candidates selected in the screening will be permitted to appear in the written examination which will be conducted only at HQ Recruiting Zone on 05 June 2009. The test will be of 3 hours of 3 hours.
  • Interview : Interview will be held for the scuccessful candidates of the written test

How to Apply: Candidates are required to submit duly filled prescribed Application Form along with all required documents duly superscribed "Applicatoin for Junior Commission Officer (Catering)" on the top outer coever of the envelope to the Headquarter Recruitment Zone of which the candidate is domicile.

Become a Junior Commission Officer (JCO) (Religious Teacher) in the Army

Applications are invited from male candidates only for recruitment as Junior Commissioned Officer (Religious Teacher) for RRT-59 and RRT-60 course in the Indian Army who fulfill the following eligibility criteria for RT Puandit, Granthi , Maulvi and Padreand Boddh Monk :
  • Vacancies : 72 posts [RRT-36 (Pandit-35, Maulvi-1], RRT-36 (Pandit-22, Granthi-9, Padre-5)]
  • Qualification : The minimum educational qualification for appointment will be graduation in any discipline from a recognised university. In addition they must also possess one of the qualification according to the religious denomination of the individuals (see detailed adv.)
  • Age : 27-34 years as on 13/07/2009 for RRT-59 and as on 31/08/2009 for RRT-60 and 25-25 for remustered candidates.
  • Physical Standard: As applicable to the regular army [Height-160cm, Weight-50Kg, Chest - 77 cm, Candidate should be able to run one mile in eight minutes.
  • Pay Scale : JCO (RT) will get the pay band of Rs.9300-34800 Grade Pay Rs.4200 and Military Service Pay Rs.2000/-

How to Apply: Candidates are required to submit duly filled prescribed Application Form along with all required documents duly superscribed "Application for JCO ( Religious Teacher) RRT-59 or RRT-60 Course" on the top outer coever of the envelope to designated Recruitment Zone lates by 24/01/2009.

  • Vacancies : 26 posts (Pandit-16, Granthi-8, Bodh Monk-2)
  • Qualification : The minimum educational qualification for appointment will be graduation in any discipline from a recognised university. In addition they must alsp possess one of the following qualification accding to the religious denomination of the individuals (see detailed adv.).
  • Age : 27-34 years as on 24/11/2008 and 25-25 for remustered candidates.
  • Physical Standard: As applicable to the regular army [Height-155cm, Weight-50Kg, Chest - 77 cm, Candidate should be able to run one mile in eight minutes.
  • Pay Scale : JCO will get the pay scale of Naib Subedar of Rs. 5620-140-8140/-
