DRDO, India’s premier technology organization employs bright, qualified and competent scientists and technologists in Group ‘A’ (Class-I) technical service known as Defence Research & Development Service (DRDS) as Scientist B through DRDO Scientist Entry Test (DRDO SET) -2009.

  • Scientist B : 200 + posts (Electronics and Communication - 80, Mechanical Engineering -60, Computer Science & Engineering - 40, Chemical Engineering-20, Electrical Engineering-20), Pay Band : PB-3 Rs.15600-39100 Grade Pay Rs.5400, Age : 28 years, Qualification : At least first class Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology (B.Tech./ BE) in Chemical/ Electrical/ Electronics & Communication/ Mechanical/ Computer Science from a recognized University in respective/relevant discipline.

Application Form : Candidates are required to apply in the Electronically Scanable Application Form specified for DRDO SET - 2009, will be available at the designated branches of State Bank of India (SBI) from 5th May 2009 to 5th June, 2009.

Written Exam : DRDO SET exam will be conducted on 06/09/2009 and will be of three hours duration consisting of two sections viz. Section 'A' of 100 questions to test the candidate's knowledge in the subject of their B.E./ B.Tech. (for Engg. discipline) or MSc ( for Science Discipline) and Section 'B' of 50 questions to test the candidate's ability in analytical and qualitative skills, current affairs and general awareness to test the aptitude and scientific knowledge required for Applied Research & Development.
