- Qualification : Three year full time Diploma in Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering/ Architectural Assistantship from Govt. recognised institution with minimum 60% marks in each year of the cources (50% for SC/ST candidates.)
- Age in years (as on 01/07/2006): 30 (Age relaxation 5 yrs for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC)
- Selection Procedure: Written Test and interview of candidates qualified in the written test. In case of large number of applications, short-listing of candidates for calling for the written test will be done on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in the eligibility qualification i.e Higher Secondary or equivalent examination.
- Fee : Rs. 200/- for General & OBC candidates, Rs.50/- for SC/ST candidates. Non-Refundable Demand Draft drawn in favour of SAIL - A/C DSP payable at Durgapur.
