Pay scale: Rs. 8550-275-13500 (starting pay Rs.9375/-).

Essential Qualification:
(1) Candidate should have thorough knowledge of Hindi.
(2) Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/ Mechanical/Electronics/Computer/Civil Engineering from an university OR from an institute established under the law of Uttar Pradesh OR from an institute recognised by State Government OR a degree or diploma which has been recognized by Uttar Pradesh State Government as an equivalent to these Engineering degrees OR should have passed section A and B as Associate Member of Institution of Engineer OR should be an Associate Member of the Institute of Electrical Engineers (London). Applications of General & OBC candidates having minimum 60% marks in aggregate and SC/ST candidates having minimum 50% marks in aggregate, will only be accepted.

Age: Minimum 21 years and maximum 32 years as on 01.01.2006.

Selection Process: Selection will be based on the basis of written exam to be held at Delhi, Lucknow, Varanasi and Mumbai as well as interview. In this process the written examination is likely to be held on 25/02/2007. Those who qualify in written test, will be called for interview, after the written test.

(1) A crossed demand draft ( non refundable processing fee) of Rs.800/= only in case of General/OBC & SC/ST/OBC candidates from states other than Uttar Pradesh and Rs.500/= in case of SC/ST candidates who are original inhabitants of Uttar Pradesh.; drawn from State Bank of India OR Central Bank in favour of SECRETARY, ELECTRICITY SERVICE COMMISSION, LUCKNOW; payable at Lucknow should be enclosed with the Application form.
