Prasar Bharti (Broadcasting Corporation of India) invites applications from eligible officers to be considered for appointment as Director General, Doordarshan. The appointment shall be on deputation basis in the revised pay scale of Rs. 24050-650-26000 and will be based in New Delhi.

Officers of All India services or Central Services, Group 'A', holding analogous posts on regular basis OR with three years regular service in the pay scale of Rs. 18400-22400 or equivalent and empaneld as Joint Secretary to the Government of India with three years regular service and having exeperince in Media or Mass Communication or Public Administraton are eligible to apply.

Period of deputation (including period of deputation in another ex-cadre post) shall not orniarily exceed THREE years.

Qualification & Experience: MBA or Post Graduate Diploma in Management with 20 years experience in Govt./PSU/National level Cooperatives/Private Sector at senior level.

Officials presently working with National level Cooperative Organisations next below the Chief Executives and those presently employed as Chiefe Executives Officer in State level Consumer Cooperative Organisations for atleast 5 years as also the Departmental candidates with 10 years experience at a senior level shall also be considered. Eligible persons from private sector with proven merit may also be considered on contract basis initially for a period of five years.

Experience in virtual team collaboration systems and Application development using open souce products., Object Oriented Programming in JAVA with coding experience, Understanding of JAVA (J2EE), Servlets, JSP, JDSC, JNDI, EJS, Java Beans and applets; Development experience using J2EE-compliant application servers (Weblogic, Web, Sphere, JRun Silver Stream), Integration of web applications to back end data bases, Apache, Jakarta, Struts, XML, (Over RPC), UML Web/EJB/Java security. Good knowlwdge of office automation Systems, Object Oriented analysis 7 design techniques OR life cycle development in VB, COM+, DOt Net, ASP, DCOM, MSMQ, C#, Visual Source Safe, Crystal Reports, ADO, IIS, HTML, XML, XSL, XSD, Object Oriented Design, VB Script, JAVA Script and SQL Server,.
